Welcome to the Kingdom of Bhutan. Upon arrival at Paro International Airport, meet your local guide and enjoy a scenic drive to the capital city, Thimphu, stopping at the historic Tamchog Lhakhang Iron Bridge along the way.
After hotel check-in, visit the impressive Buddha Dordenma Statue overlooking the valley and continue to the Takin Sanctuary to see Bhutan’s unique national animal. Later, explore Zilukha Nunnery and interact with the resident nuns. At the Bhutan Post Office, create personalized souvenir stamps with your own photos. Conclude the day at the majestic Trashichho Dzong, the largest religious and administrative fortress in Thimphu.

Drive toward Punakha via the scenic Dochula Pass, where 108 memorial stupas stand against the stunning Himalayan backdrop. Continue to Chimi Lhakhang, the revered “Fertility Temple,” dedicated to the Divine Madman.
In the afternoon, visit the magnificent Punakha Dzong, beautifully located at the confluence of the Pho Chu and Mo Chu rivers and considered one of Bhutan’s most impressive fortresses. Enjoy a walk across the nearby Suspension Bridge, the longest in Bhutan.

Return to Paro and begin sightseeing with Paro Dzong, a masterpiece of Bhutanese architecture and an important religious and administrative center. Visit Ta Dzong, a former watchtower now housing the National Museum with rich cultural artifacts.
Later, explore Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest temples, and end the day with a visit to a traditional farmhouse, where you can meet local families and experience authentic Bhutanese hospitality.

Today features the highlight of your Bhutan journey — a hike to the iconic Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest). Perched dramatically on a cliffside, this sacred site offers breathtaking views of the Paro Valley and an unforgettable spiritual experience.
After the hike, visit the ruins of Drukgyel Dzong, built to commemorate Bhutan’s victory over Tibetan invaders. On clear days, enjoy distant views of Mt. Chomolhari.
