Travel onward to Kandy to explore the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic, one of the most revered Buddhist sites in the world. Then enjoy one of the most scenic train journeys in Asia as you ride through misty mountains, lush tea plantations, and cascading waterfalls en route to Nuwara Eliya. Your adventure continues with an exciting jeep safari in Yala National Park, where you may spot elusive leopards, elephants, and diverse wildlife. Later, visit the historic Dutch fort city of Galle and unwind with relaxing beach time in the coastal resort town of Bentota before returning to Colombo for your departure.

Day 1 – Arrival in Sri Lanka | Negombo

Welcome to Sri Lanka, the Pearl of the Indian Ocean! Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be warmly greeted by your private chauffeur guide and transferred to Negombo, a charming seaside town just 20 minutes away. Check in to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure, relaxing after your journey.

Day 2 – Negombo to Sigiriya

Enjoy a relaxed morning at your hotel or explore Negombo at your own pace. You may choose optional experiences such as visiting the lively local fish market at dawn or taking a scenic boat ride through the Muthurajawela Marsh to observe rich birdlife and aquatic ecosystems.

In the afternoon, drive inland to Sigiriya (approx. 5 hours), the cultural heartland of Sri Lanka and home to the iconic Lion Rock Fortress.

Day 3 – Sigiriya Exploration

Begin the day with a climb to the magnificent 5th-century Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Discover ancient frescoes, landscaped gardens, and breathtaking panoramic views from the summit — truly one of Sri Lanka’s most impressive landmarks.

Later, enjoy an authentic village experience in Hiriwadunna. Travel by jeep or tuk-tuk through lush countryside, followed by a peaceful boat ride across the lake at sunset.

Day 4 – Sigiriya to Kandy

Visit the sacred Dambulla Cave Temple, renowned for its ancient Buddha statues and intricate rock paintings dating back over 2,000 years.

Continue to Kandy, the last royal capital of Sri Lanka. En route, stop at a spice garden to learn about Sri Lanka’s famous spices and enjoy a complimentary Ayurveda massage. In the evening, watch a vibrant Kandyan cultural dance performance before visiting the revered Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic during the ceremonial puja.

Day 5 – Kandy to Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast, board one of Sri Lanka’s most scenic train journeys to Nuwara Eliya (subject to availability). Travel through misty mountains, cascading waterfalls, and endless tea plantations.

Upon arrival at Nanu Oya station, transfer to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day relaxing.

Day 6 – Nuwara Eliya

Rise early for an excursion to Horton Plains National Park. Enjoy a gentle trek through grasslands and forests, spotting wildlife and visiting the spectacular viewpoint known as World’s End.

In the afternoon, visit a tea plantation and factory to learn the art of producing world-famous Ceylon Tea, followed by a tasting session.

Day 7 – Nuwara Eliya to Yala

After breakfast, drive to Yala (approx. 3 hours), passing through the scenic hill country of Ella. Check in and relax before heading out for an exciting afternoon jeep safari in Yala National Park, famous for its leopards, elephants, sloth bears, crocodiles, and diverse birdlife.

Note: If Yala is closed in September, an alternative park such as Bundala will be arranged.


Day 8 – Yala National Park

Enjoy a second early morning safari to maximize wildlife sightings. The afternoon is free for relaxation. You may wish to sample fresh local seafood at nearby coastal restaurants.

Day 9 – Yala to Galle to Bentota

Travel along the southern coast toward Galle. En route, you may spot traditional stilt fishermen. Explore the historic Galle Dutch Fort, a UNESCO-listed colonial town filled with charming streets, cafés, and boutiques.

Later, continue to Bentota and unwind at your beach resort.

Day 10 – Bentota | Leisure Day
